Dr Yamini Narayanan is a Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Her research interests lie in the area of urban sustainability, particularly developing megapolises, women and development, religion and development, and creative adaptation to climate change (in urban developing regions). She also teaches the undergraduate subject Introduction to Asia: China & India offered to politics students at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga campus and is a regular visitor to the border region.
Sophie Buckle is a first year Bachelor of Arts student at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga campus and a founding member of the student-run Politics Awareness Club.

I enjoyed the interview between Dr Yamini Narayanan and Sophie Buckle. Indians would be better off staying away from the Olympic Games annd concentrate more on Indian cultural developments, welfare projects like improved housing and indigenous sports with wide participation rather than an elite, tiny minority of athletes .
