This installment of the Our Voice: Politics Albury-Wodonga podcast features Dr Yamini Narayanan from La Trobe University in Melbourne, in conversation with Our Voice’s Sophie Buckle. In this discussion, Yamini and Sophie look at the recent Delhi Commonwealth Games as a case study to examine contemporary Indian society.
Dr Yamini Narayanan is a Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at La Trobe University in Melbourne. Her research interests lie in the area of urban sustainability, particularly developing megapolises, women and development, religion and development, and creative adaptation to climate change (in urban developing regions). She also teaches the undergraduate subject Introduction to Asia: China & India offered to politics students at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga campus and is a regular visitor to the border region.
Sophie Buckle is a first year Bachelor of Arts student at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga campus and a founding member of the student-run Politics Awareness Club.
