In this instalment of the Our Voice podcast we’re joined by Lizette Salmon from Wodonga & Albury Towards Climate Health (WATCH). WATCH is an apolitical community group which advocates for sustainable climate solutions through engagement with political leaders and the local community, as well as through extensive networks with other like-minded groups across northeast Victoria, the southern Riverina, and elsewhere around the country. It promotes activities and events in the local community to meet, discuss, establish informed views and take appropriate action on climate change.
Lizette and I begin our discussion by exploring that seminal moment when a person fully comprehends the gravity of the climate change challenge. We look at what climate change means for Albury-Wodonga, and the various things WATCH is doing to engage. We also discuss what climate change means to our local youth, and explore the roots of climate scepticism.
I hope you enjoy this podcast interview with another one of our local gems, Lizette Salmon.
