  1. Great Post. I enjoyed your fleshing out process around this truly next big step.
I feel that the key to permaculture truly spreading world wide is facilitating the connection between teachers of permaculture and the students that don’t even know they need Permaculture. Turn those students into teachers and repeat. I have seen many examples of this From Project Nuevo Mundo , To the DJ ‘the polish ambassador’ to the Seven Ravens Permaculture Projects around the world. These are small independent organizations that have little to no cross pollination but they are getting the knowledge out there and getting people participating hands on. I’m not sure that an over arching network is even necessary.
It seems to me that permaculture is going viral, I just hope it keeps picking up speed.

    Thanks Again,

    • Thanks for your response Kyle. I certainly agree that the horizontal diffusion method of spreading permaculture that you have described is on of the strengths of the movement. One of my motivations for raising this discussion about a global node is to flesh out whether that horizontal diffusion process can be turbo-charged, especially in light of the pressing global problems for which permaculture would be a useful adaptive response. Geoff Lawton has done an interesting talk online recently about the need to accelerate the pace of the diffusion of permaculture knowledge…

      • Great Video. He is right we need to reach 14% saturation and we need to get there quick. I have taken the next step in my life. But I definitely see the need to accelerate to proliferation of permaculture knowledge beyond my circle of influence. I hope you find something that can help the acceleration without itself becoming a distraction.

Thanks again for your post an inspirational thing.
