North Korea’s military actions continue to be a source of hostility with the West. In recent days speculative reports suggest that North Korea may have restarted a reactor, which produces nuclear bomb fuel, as well as test fired a new anti-ship cruise missile. However, there are also signs North Korea is slowly increasing its presence on the world stage.
Program Host Daniel Healion spoke to Dr Ben Habib, Lecturer in Lecturer in Politics & International Relation at La Trobe University about the accuracy of the reports about the reactor, as well as the recent announcement of mandatory military service for women in the DPRK and recent activity within the North Korea-Russia relationship.
